• You could’ve had all sorts of genetic or developmental problems and your mother would have a miscarriage.
• Your mum could’ve had problems giving birth to you leaving you with permanent brain damage.
• You could be a snail or a caterpillar and an innocent kid would step on you for fun.
• Or you could be this helpless nestling dying of natural selection.

So do stuff that matters. Do stuff that matters to you.
